This rather retro-styled illustration depicts a person affected by the wind, being “blown away” but in a gentle manner. Using a cut-out technique, the subject of the image appears to cast a shadow, delivering a 3-D effect that is reminiscent of the 50’s and 60’s when drop-shadows were common in illustrations. To complete the effect, the red background has been treated with a texture that furthers the illusion of depth. The plain white background of the subject makes this a very easy image to recolor to match design work and has a convenient banner space available on the suitcase being carried to place an advertising or other message. The space to the left also leaves room for a text area or other overlaid component.
